Hi all, this is a very clever and powerful piece about aerosol transmission. Simple and very useful diagrams. Given the emphasis on ventilation, it looks like families should be celebrating christmas in their overcoats with the windows well open.

I'd like to think that they will O2, but I have my doubts. I hope that Christmas festivities don't trigger more cases of the virus. I read earlier that one scientist has advised everyone planning a family get together to have a covid test first but I doubt that many will do that either.

Will be spending Christmas alone again this year. I couldnt travel last year due to shoulder op and dont want to take the almost 4 hour train ride this year, so will have plenty of food and wine in and watch loads of tv which wont make up for missing my family but will help my outlook. After looking at your post I think it would be safer for everyone to just stay at home this year x

Pleased people have found this helpful, thanks for all your comments. I too will be at home with my partner but no others. Maybe a walk on the beach but in relation to Whitstable, the beach will probably be rammed with tourists and day trippers as always - you would never know there was a pandemic going on. I have been doing this when my daughter comes down. Cant say it makes me very popular, as she is a chilly mortal. Crouched by fire throwing me reproach ful looks and muttering about pneumonia.
