That reminds me of when I was little...my dad had a boat and we used to sail over to France and the Channel Islands for our holidays. We’d often head out at sunset from Hamble or Poole and sail through the night But the journeys often begun looking like that!!! 😊

Mainly exciting!!! Sometimes scary because once or twice we had to sail back in gale force winds and the boat was healed over so much, everything inside the boat was being thrown all over the place etc and all you could see was the next giant wave 🌊 coming!

The sea is so stunning but also so powerful!! My dad had built that boat though and he always said he knew we’d be safe because he knew every nut 🔩 and bolt in it.

Scary yes but thrilling just the same, your dad must have felt confident otherwise he wouldn't have sailed. I love the sea and would love to spend time out on a boat but have always suffered being seasick, cant even get out of the harbour before I need a bag x

He was confident! He had a few others after that one until he got too old to manage.

Such beautiful colours .Yes getting cold now- just turned the heating up a notch as I was cold in the house last night.

Managed to go on a muddy walk yesterday in Worsley Woods a couple of miles away. Met up with daughter and two grandchildren there . No pictures x
