I'm having a stabbing pain in my lower right chest. It disappeared once when I took a gastro tablet and a painkiller but didn't on the second time. And the pain soothes when I rub my right chest under my armpit but only for a few seconds. It pains when I move around, try to lie down and breathe deeply. Why is it happening? I never experienced this kind of problem before. But I did have a surgery due to ulcer. Can gastic also be the cause of it?

Why do I have pain in my lower right chest and in my right shoulder?
I do sympathise, but my advice would be to contact your health professional as chest pain can be caused by many things.
I have a bloated feeling and intermittent pain below my right rib cage.....my doctor examined me and I have had a blood test ....I am waiting for the result.
Please ring your doctor today for advice.
Best wishes.
I think you have already been given good advice. The type of pain you describe can be muscular skeletal, hepatic, gastric to name a few. Your GP would be best able to advise. Pain is nature's way of saying something is wrong the only problem is that she never states what the problem is.
Better see your GP and ask him/her.
So many causes such as Pleurisy which would require probably Antibiotics. It could also be muscular or nerve pain, say coming from say your neck. Who knows?
Really you would be better as Knitter says, ring your GP and get seen or treatment if needed,
Good luck you will feel better when you know what it is.
