Mycophenolate missed a week

Hi all,

Because I had to have my monitoring blood tests, my doctor wouldn't prescribe my repeats. My pharmacist said that they would be ready on Saturday (last), then said today (Tuesday). I have been without it for a week now. Do you think this length of time could impact upon my lungs and make them worse?

Hi GingerCatJayne,

This is just an educated guess, if it takes a while to build up to take effect then in all probability it also takes a while to taper off. Plus if it was that critical both the pharmasist and your GP should be on the case quite quickly.

"Mycophenolate doesn’t work immediately. It may be up to four months before you notice any benefit."

Hi 2greys,

Thank you for replying.

I did think along the same lines as you!

I am hoping that they will be ready tomorrow.
