Welcome to you HollyBoyd. This is a warm and friendly forum. It will be good to get to know you. My husband was diagnosed with COPD (bronchitis) in 2010 and is doing well.

Take care xxxx

Thank you for saying hi and welcoming me to your group. I have had Copd for about 20 years and manage it with Trimbow. I use ambulatory oxygen to carry out daily activities. I am partially sighted due to a haemorrhage due to wet macular 18 months ago. I am lucky to have a good husband who takes me around to all my appointments!! At present suffering with a pseudomonas lung infection which is certainly dragging me down. A bit long winded but guess you need to know my story?? Thanks sassy59

It’s good to know your story but not great to hear about the pseudomonas. Hope things improve for you soon. It’s nice to have your husband to help get you to appointments and more. I’m carer for my husband who takes a myriad of drugs but isn’t on oxygen. He also has sarcoidosis, heart disease and back problems. Almost two years ago I nearly lost him to sepsis.

Good to meet you. Xxxxx

Sorry to hear your husband having problems. Funny but my husband had stents in place and 2 years ago suffered with sepsis. Pleased to hear you husband got through it and is okay now. Old age is a b----, does not come itself. Wishing you good health xxx

Hello HollyBoyd, welcome to the site nice to meet you. I have COPD too but not as long as you . You are an example of how we can survive long after diagnosis if we take care of ourselves. Hope to speak again soon .

Hello lzb1. Thank you for your welcome. Keeping positive although Covid hasn't helped!! But I know I'm not alone and there are others worse off than me, so very grateful for what I do have. Hope you are feeling positive too? Take care x
