[Pantani]

After my Covid 19 poem I decided I needed to go on a virtual backpacking trip as all of this Covid 19 was getting me down.

Travels In The Wild

Rolling hills of old

Rucksacks packed

New stories yet untold

Not heavy enough to be restricted

Great vistas soon unfold

A new course tracked

A sight to behold

Far off views to distract

How often are tales foretold

Making the days jam packed

About the Kings stronghold

How the realm was ransacked

The camp set up against the cold

Rucksacks and food unpacked

Tents erected in a sheep fold

Evening meal still to be cooked

Morning dawn sun is bold

Another day packed

With alpine gold

Travellers to attract

Yes, So many people do power walking. This is not for me either. I too like to take in my surroundings and appreciate nature. It never fails to lift my spirits.

Hi., Pantani, the trip sounds great. I just do my walk along the canal every morning. It is on a level, which suits me and there are other walkers and runners that I meet and converse with, at a safe distance of course.
