I have mild copd and wondered if i ought to be self isolating or is it ok to go to work? As the other staff can work from home but i can't as admin, i will now have the office to myself but im so worried as i easily get chest infections. I recently had a horrible cold but feel better now.
Has anyone else with mild copd had a letter from the government. My surgery say they arn't sending letters themselves x

In order to get a letter you would need to be severe. However you are still high risk even with mild copd and a history of chest infections. With the office to yourself you should be fairly safe however technically you should be in self isolation.
I have received the letter almost straight away.
Surprised as thought was ok. Had COPD for two years could have been longer . But moved house then and good GP. Always had asthma. Had 5 flare up last year but with anti bios ok . See respiratory nurse on a regular basis due to go to hospital to see consultant next month so no doubt would have fond out to what degree I am. Expect this will be cancelled.
Think my GP could be over cautious. Good thing. .I seemed to be worse with Asthma.
Hope this helps. But perhaps you would be best at home.
