Priority delivery

Hi, just got email from local Tesco (5 mins away) saying they have been given information from Government saying that I need their help to get food etc. so have been given Priority status for home delivery but there are only a few slots every day but can guarantee that I would get one within 8 hours of registering as priority as I already have home delivery information. Hope this will give some of you some hope. Stay safe & well. Fingers crossed for all of you. Chris

If you are a night bird go on about 11.55pm and go on to page to book. Sometimes it comes up saying not to leave page you are in a queue and then it comes up sometimes there are slots it's just perseverance

Good news for you . It seems like we are gradually being filtered through to the supermarkets though we may have had to register ourselves first x Anita

How do I register with them as I'm classed as extremely vulnerable but can't get any slots?

You need to register on the government website (gov.uk), find the part that says ‘get Coronavirus support as a clinically extremely vulnerable person’. It then asks for some info - name, DOB, NHS number (from memory). We did it a few dats ago, and had an email from Asda a few minutes ago - seems we will probably get emails from other supermarkets shortly. We are then supposed to choose just one supermarket to use. Apparently, we should then get priority deliveries, or even be able to arrange regular weekly deliveries. 🤞🤞 it works that way - time will tell! Good luck

Thank you for that information, I've already registered on the government site so hopefully the supermarkets will be in touch soon.. I'm alright for now but will need to shop soon... Thank you again... Stay safe and keep well... 😀😀... X

I got a letter yesterday saying I was classed as clinically vulnerable so I registered . Does anyone know how long it takes before a supermarket gets in touch for priority deliveries . Thanks. Stay safe everyone xxxx

I have now had three supermarkets offer the same. Waitrose, Tesco and Asda. Sadly, only Tesco actually have any slots whatsoever available. Waitrose are solidly booked up until July and Asda has limited availability to just the next three weeks to help, also completely booked of course. Part of the problem here is where I live I think which means there are less slots overall around here.

Glad you got your delivery I’ve tried but can’t get a slot, no one is taking my calls as it’s not classed as emergency, I have secondary cancer that’s terminal, guess I just need to keep trying hope everyone is coping and staying safe x

Hi, I know you've been trying to get a delivery which in your condition is quite appalling considering your health issues. Only suggestion I can make is if you have already registered with one of the supermarket on line systems. I don't think they are letting new people register yet. If you are an online customer, try going in as far as booking a slot, don't pick 1 hour delivery slot , pick the 8 hour timeframe (that's how I got my slot), then pick what time you would like eg: 10am - 6pm, then you can start picking your order. They will contact you either by phone or text to let you know when they will be coming. Good luck. Keep well & safe, Chris
