We sail along in our little boat
Us Lungies all together
We face each day the open sea
Our boat we never tether
Some days the sea is awfully rough
During the bad weather
But ask are we down hearted
The cry goes up "Never"
Some often try to rock the boat
But it never lasts for long.
We never throw them overboard
That could be construed as wrong
We'll never reach the promised land
Our lungs are shot for good
But we are all a happy lot
Let that be understood.

A lot to think about in this one Don! Good to know you haven't mislaid your gift. I've missed your poems. Hope all is well with you and Midge.

We need the boat rockers and some cockney rebels too
Without a bit of fun and banter this site would just be pooh
Correct don't throw them overboard and worry when it's too late
Cos in our haste to criticise we might have thrown away a mate. x

Boat rockers are not a problem
We can take those in our stride
It's the ones that pull the plug out
I'd like to see over the side.

A very thoughtful rhyme Don, but so true. We like to see the same names appear each day, as it means they are all safe on our little boat.
