Hope this isn't a silly question but should we be buying fruit from Spain and other countries with Coronavirus?

buying fruit
Yes it’s fine but wash it anyway. Xxx
Not quite sure what you mean Angie - the UK (if this is where you live) has had corona for some time, nowhere is free of it. Though a reason not to buy fruit from Spain might be if they are running out of food themselves. But that would be a commercial decision rather than ours as individuals.
Just follow the guidelines bringing fruit and other food into the house as that should be ok.
Sorry I didn't make myself clear, I wondered if you buy produce from spain, or other countries (I'm in the UK) could it be contaminated? Yes, if that's the case ours would be too, apologies, just getting myself a bit anxious about everything, I'm a vulnerable and have been indoors now for 3 weeks and having food delivered and spotted the blueberries were from Spain (god bless them)
Blueberres, yum! It's such a dreadful situation Angie, all too easy to get very anxious. Ive certainly had my moments so no worries. Im very careful about food, wash all jars and bottles, I wash apples too. Discard outer lettuce leaves if Im eating them the same day Ive bought them/they've been delivered. We can only do our best and support each other here too. Look after yourself
Thank you X
I have just had blueberries delivered too and grapes....ordered on line weeks ago.
Now I don’t know what to do, I washed the wrappers and put blueberries in the freezer.....but don’t know if freezing kills virus.
As for the grapes....my late mother used to say ‘ peel me a grape ‘. I don’t think I will try that .
I read that bananas should be washed before being peeled .
