Thanks to all of replied re the pocs. still thinking about them. Was waiting for the Resp Nurse to call, foe further discussion but she did not turn up no message left either. Notified the insurance company re the 02 when in the car, insurance up by £50 not yet heard from DVLA. Will let you know what I decide later. thanks again. cheers spooks

Your car insurance premium should NOT be increased because you carry oxygen in the car, I would change insurers. We informed ours about 2 yrs ago and there was no increase. We also informed them that there would be carrying a mobility scooter and hoist was fitted....no increase, just changed wording in policy to say disability adaptation.

That is just typical, any excuse to put up the premium. As with the other replies, time to go elsewhere to get some quotes and then ring up your existing insurer and tell them you have cheaper quotes and if they cannot match them you will be changing. I bet that they will lower their price to suit.
