Thanks everyone for all the information and advice. I am going to chase up my husband - Geoff's - referral and see how far away it is and hopefully if it's not too far off we will wait till then and try again for the insurance when we have better info about his condition and treatment. I've been reading everyone else's posts for a while before posting myself and it's been a great help xx
