Hi all hope all is well with you. I’m fine lying in bed & I sleep like a log! But when I get up in the morning when I stand up I feel very faint and have to sit down how do you all get washed and dressed?

I was definitely thinking about a seat in the bathroom Julie isn’t it maddening though that we have to have these things 😠

Slowly, take your time getting out of bed.sit on the edge of the bed until the faintess settles

Pulmonary rehab told me.

Put your clothes out for the morning before you go to bed..

If you’re having bath shower wash, put on atowelling dressing gown. This makes it easier for you to get dry.

I brush my teeth sitting down.

I also get dressed sitting down.

Igetfrustrated aseverything takes so long.

I’ve had to adapt to a new way of life and it’s not been easy.

Hope you’re ok

Thanks for that Oshgosh yes it is very frustrating I hate it with a great hatred! I’m thinking of a seat in the bathroom and a stairlift it just feels like giving in though

I’m the same as Oshgosh and similar feel very frustrated that everything takes so long. I sit on the bed until I feel ok then after a toilet visit go to kitchen and have coffee which helps me face the washing and clothing.

Yes, I know. I don’t attempt to get dressed until I’ve had breakfast meds I inhalers etc.

Drives me mad.what used to take 10 minutes takes 45 minutes now.Still can’t complain,am still here.

Think of it as adjusting your thinking Looseloafers, these things are aids to help you, we tend to view them as old peoples gadgets instead of how much easier it will make your life. It isnt a case of giving in but accepting help when needed. If it helps i am all for it x
