I think the licenced max is something like 2mg (milligrams so 2000 micrograms) but I know more is sometimes given in an inpatient setting, I'm afraid I don't know the maximum used in those circumstances
Thank you for your reply, I’ve asked to stay at home, have asked my nurse to check for me aswell, think I’m on the max, 2ml nebuliser every 6 hrs, just getting more difficult to keep control of breathing and clearing mucus.
Hi, I take Combivent which is a combination of atrovent and salbutamol.
But if you are having difficulties with control of your breathing I would contact your nurse or another health professional as soon as you can.
Or ring 111 for advice.
Hi Tinypuff, dont know anything about your medication, just wanted to wish you well and hope that you are managing to clear your lungs everyday. You say you have asked to stay at home ? Are you managing ok and do you have enough help coming in? Having the right help makes it easier to be at home, thinking of you x
I am also endstage at 18% FEV
my doc says up to four doses a day of .5mg ipatropium bromide in my nebulizer.
I have been taking rosemary (herb)capsule daily to help expel my mucous. Helps a lot!
And a 600mg dose of NAC 2 times a day to help thin the mucous.
Hope this helps! Good luck and hang in there!
