You might find the flutter or the acapella choice helpful.

You can get the flutter or the acapella choice on prescription in the UK but your GP just might not be aware of this.

If you purchase one make sure you get a VAT exemption form to fill in.

Do the Active Cycle of Breathing.....Huff, Huff and Huff again.

Works every time.

Something I am going to try that I've just heard about, is pure pineapple juice helps to loosen mucus. No harm in trying.

I use a flutter devise as well as sipping water throughout the day and take Carbocisteine 3 times a day and practice the breathing exercises. I have found certain arm exercises very useful along with the breathing exercises helps loosen the mucus. Lots on You Tube about breathing conditions. I also use various inhalers and take steroids all of which have helped my problem with mucus.

Hi, suggest you get your GP to prescribe Carbocisteine, then a " flutter machine" the two in harmony get my mucus up but sometimes have to bend over to get it to move. coughing it up doesn't do it for me.

Hi again the flutter machine is called an acapello and can be prescibed by your GP.

It helps with recovery time when one has become breathless.

Thanks, I am seeing my nurse soon for test, so will ask. Or when I next see the doctor. I will let you know if I get one.
