Yes Pete does sometimes. It’s as if the air has gone. Even in the car sometimes.

Take care xxxxx

For me perfume, aftershave, and deodorant is a big problem for me, i cannot use aftershave or deodorant myself, sometimes i stand behind people in shops with just to much on and i have to leave the shop, COPD can be a nuisance sometimes.

Pete used to be like that but has been ok for a long time. COPD is definitely a nuisance though. Xxxxx

I find hot and cold air effect , it is about a happy medium. Hot makes the breathing worse and cold makes the cough worse. Enjoy your Sunday.

other things that effect the illness are triggers or allegens, like tar, dust, perfume, aftershave, cleaning sprays ect. Its best to avoid any known triggers. Take care

Hi I have this problem all the time I actually usually complain and walk out if shops are to hot, it's the one thing I hate about winter everywhere is always way to hot. I like it to be cool aswell it's much more pleasant and healthy.

I function best at around 16°C, but 10°C higher or lower than that then I find real trouble with laboured breathing. I also get an uncomfortable feeling as if I am a poorly dragon who's flame has gone out, just breathing out hot ash instead, it's the closest description to the feeling that I can come up with.

It’s an excellent description!

Yes, Bobby, I do. I have to get out. It almost feels like a panic attack. Horrible.

Yes, most of the time. I have a small rechargeable fan in my bag which comes in very handy on these occasions.

Conversely, I find supermarkets too cold and have to cover my mouth when passing the fridges and freezers. In summer I have to remember to put on a jacket or cardigan before entering....

Yes Bobby Floyd, I have the same problem I agree it's nice to be in the fresh air. Take care Majt 🤗

Hi, yes, definately have the same problem. Shops are too hot in the UK in winter , extremes can set off all sorts of flare ups. Not to mention germs breeding in the hot shops, not good for peple like us. I also suffer greatly from sensitivity to certain smells, perfume, airfreshners, aftershave, washing piwder, any cleaning stuffs actually , thats why i use white vinegar, lemons and bicarb to do my cleaning. It is such a nuisance, i get upset because i love perfume, but now limit my use if at all. No one understands unless they suffer.

Yes Bobby,

Sometimes I've walked into a shop and had to turn around and walk straight back out. I don't know why they have to be so warm that they take your breath away.

All the best,

Joan

I cannot bear some shops. I get so hot that I fear that I will faint. Luckily my husband understand when I tell him I need some air. How some people can work in such heat is beyond me.

I know what you mean. I work in a shop but have to stay on Ground level near door or I feel like I'm suffocating. Keep well .

I am so glad it’s not just me! I have to take my coat off in any shop and lug it around. It’s too cold outside not to wear one but all the seem to have their heating on tropical setting

I have the opposite problem. I use portable oxygen with a conservator device in my backpack. If it gets too cold, say much below 10 deg C, it beeps at me as though I am out of O2., and causes concern for all around me. This is especially so if I’ve just got out of a warm car ; beeping starts almost immediately.
