Prednisone

Last year I had sinus surgery and the doctor prescribed me prednisone. I was supposed to be on it for just 8 days, and is been more than a year and I am still taking 10mg a day. Everytime that I am off it I get stuffy and I cant breathe. How can I get off it and be well again?

You can get a pill cutter from the chemist. I did this with an antidepressant, took 3/4 of a tablet for a month, then 1/2 for a month etc. On the forth month for good measure I took 1/4 on alternate days. Hope this helps. P

you can get prednisone in 5 mg and even 1 mg - I know as am on 12 mg so no need for a fiddly pill cutter xx if you want to cut down the advice I have been given is cut by 1 mg every 3 days - seems to work good luck xxx
