Throat mucus that will go down but won't come up constant almost

The started was what they call a Globus felt like it was a marble in my throat for two or three weeks and then that one away. I didn't know that you were related now I have I feel like it's mucus in the back of my throat and it won't come up and sometimes I just constantly swallow over and over and over again. They thought it was silent reflux but now this doctor today said it wasn't I'm going crazy does anyone know anything about this

To be honest it does sound like reflux, as that's how mine started I had a lump feeling in my throat. I saw an ENT eventually who did a ultrasound scan of my throats and found no problems.

I took Omeprazole and that helped at the time, and I also used the Avamys spray for my nose that I was prescribed.

Perhaps try that along with Gaviscon 4 times a day and try it for 6 weeks to see if that helps.

Try steer clear of heavy dairy products as they make you produce much more mucus. And also post nasal drip can cause a mucus feeling down your throat. Reflux and sinus issues often happen together. You could try a sinus rinse, Neilmed sinus rinse is good for clearing your nose out when used morning and night.

Hi there. I have exactly the same symptoms with added coughing when I bend, eat, talk etc., etc., and I couldn’t understand how COPD could do that. I insisted on an endoscopy and I have a silent reflux which is the cause of my cough. Could you ask for a second opinion? There has to be an answer to your problem, I hope you find it, and take Shancocks advice and stay away from the dairy and citrus, that will help a little. Good luck and feel better soon.
