I've recently been diagnosed with secondary erythrocytosis which amounts to an increase in one's bone marrow production of red blood cells in your arterial system's attempt to provide sufficient oxygen to all of your organs: heart, lungs, kidneys, liver, etc.
It's a sort of "outgrowth" of having emphysema which, as we all know, cuts down on the amount of oxygen you're able to take in; it's all like a little vicious circle.
I've also just had my first phlebotomy treatment which is the recommended course of action for treatment. I hope to have another in 90 days.
