Bronchitis infection, the abs have helped but chest pain

Day 3 of Clarithromycin for my Bronchitis infection and they have definitely helped, the cough has improved considerably. The side effects of the abs aren't too bad now, bit of tummy pain, bit of toilet probs but very tolerable, they can make me feel bit strange for a bit but then it wears off. All in all I'm glad I've got these ones the seem to be hitting the spot, will def ask for these ones again when I need them.

Have chest pain on left side and in my back, left side more. It's uncomfortable and not nice but not terribly painful. I've got hot water bottle and taking painkillers.

It's absolutely not cardiac related due to my GERD to check I had tests on my heart just last year, a 7 day ECG and a heart scan and bubble test. All was very good and cardiologist said my heart was healthy and strong.

The pain is probably part my reflux playing up and I suppose due to Broncitis infection and cough. I almost sure it's not pleurisy even though it's near my shoulder as I've had that and it's intensely painful.

Question though?? How long does the chest/back pain usually go after the infections? I can't remember from last time but I know my back hurt for a fair while afterwards.

Thank you, have a lovely evening x

Don’t like the sound of that..do you know the pleura cover the lungs up to the shoulders? I have had bi-apical pleurisy before..It’s the pain that worries me..bronchial pain comes from coughing, inflammation but it is bearable with paracetamol I find.

So do you have any breathlessness?

I would get a 2nd opinion via 111 or A&E whatever is right for you..

Good night and take care sorry it’s past 10pm for me..

Breathlessness has got much better and cough better still a bit of cough but really improved and I feel better in myself now so def improving. I have had pleurisy before and this is different and nowhere near as painful. Just bit uncomfortable.

If it still hurts Monday I'll go to my Drs and maybe get an X-ray to check. There's no crackle and my chest is clear. But yes if it doesn't improve I will get it looked at.
