Is this for you or a friend? Either way best wishes for a successful procedure.

Check with local hospital in Scotland (via consultant or department) for waiting duration.

Other folk from Scotland who have had the procedure may be able to give you an indication, but I would suspect that it depends which hospital the patient is having the procedure done.

Best wishes Bkin

Goodness, are you still waiting 1968! You and your family must be getting anxious. Have you tried ringing the surgeon's secretary? Other than that I can't offer any thoughts, being in England.

I hope some Scots with more knowledge pop in soon, in the meantime, still thinking of you. P

Thank you, I have called the Surgeon secutary once per week and all I get is, we know about your diagnosis and we await a pre up meeting for you. I've just called again however now she said the Surgeon will call me next week for a pre op meeting. Hopefully I get the pre op meeting next week then surgery the following week. Jubilee Hospital in Clydebank.

I can’t help with the waiting times in Scotland but it was 9 weeks between diagnosis and having lower left lobe removed where I am. That was two years ago and doing fine so wishing you a successful recovery

I hope so, the cancer is up in the top right lung no where else so I guess if the love is removed and as standart some lymphnodes then yes I am hoping it's all gone.

In my case in Florida it was about 10 or 12 weeks time, during which they gave me maximum targeted radiation and heavy duty chemo cocktail of taxidere and cisplatin . All Best Wishes to you! judg69
