Hi I am new to this site

I have been recommended today by my GP to get one of these.

Has anyone had experience of using one? Is there anywhere in Northern Ireland it can be purchased, as I understand it isnot available on NHS?

Definitely available on the NHS in the UK. If you have no luck and have to buy it please make sure you get the VAT medical exemption.

You can buy the Acapella on Amazon.co.uk. I've never tried the Acapella, so I can't speak for it, but I have tried the Lung flute and the Flutter device. Personally, I would recommend a lung flute to remove mucus.

Kibs2, Acapella, flutes, and Aerobika are all very useful devices in clearing your lungs and in strengthening your lungs. Aerobika was instrumental in my recovery from lung cancer surgery , and ongoing in my battle with COPD. Best Wishes, judg69

I tried that equipment , but it did not help me.I was diagnosed with bronchiectasis (nodules). I was told to use this along with spireva inhaled once a day. This was 6 MO. Ago and my last ex-ray showed much improvement. The equipment is supposed to help loosen the mucus, I used a nebulizer with medication every 4 to 6 hrs. During the day and those 2 treatments have really helped. I have no symptoms now, and only on the spririva once a day. Hope this helped.
