Hi

There’s no one size fits all.

Strength and dosage can depend on many factors. Type of infection, size a weight of patient. Drug intolerance.

Your reply says it all Stone plus I've been put on a 500mg antibiotic that I only take Monday Wednesday and Friday I think its because their slow release therefore easy on me because I'll be on them and steroids for 3 mounts

As Stone says there are a number of factors. Some antibiotics reach peak concentration levels faster than overs and also are removed by the liver and kidneys faster than others. The dose and frequency reflect this when prescribed.

It depends whats being treated and depends which antibiotic.

As above, it depends on different factors.

At my worst, my specialist likes to put me in the hospital so that I get antibiotics and steroids by way of an IV. They can monitor the dosage and my body absorption that way.
