Hi

£20/30 appears a good average price Amazon.

The majority will start high/ low before they settle. Most have proven to be reliable.

I have had one for some years now and it matches the hospital and GP one . Only problem when I go into AF it does screw it up a bit but that not surprising.

Hi I got mine from Amazon. For about 5 quid from China. It will do the job. The important thing to remember is when you go to the doctors take it with you. Then compare the readings from both. My own reads slightly lower than the doctors.

Think it is important, whichever one you buy, to get it checked with your surgery or pulmonary nurse. I bought mine from Amazon, had it checked and it was 6 lower, so all I do is add 6 to the reading.

Hi Iain

I bought mine from Amazon. I paid £29.99 but this was a few years ago and you can get them much cheaper now. Mine is very accurate. I have tested at the hospital with many different ones.

Here is the link but I see it is more expensive now:

amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00...

At the time it didn't include a case so I purchased a case separately but that is now unavailable on Amazon.

I am thinking of getting one which can be used when mobile and that can be left on at night so that I can record what happens when I am sleeping or mobile as I don't think this type are accurate when moving around but I am not sure.

I have found it very useful to have one because I get extremely breathless. However, being breathless does not always mean that your oxygen levels are low so it means I can take a reading to make sure whether I need to use my oxygen.

Good luck from

Hi, sorry I don’t know too much about stores there in Britain, here we have Walmart & Target and they carry the same one I see at my Cards office and at hospital. They’re between $20-30 USD. Buuut there are some on good ole universal eBay for $8. I’ve seen some really cool stuff o eBay from the UK but have always been too afraid to order from that far. I’m sure Amazon probly have em too just don’t know which ones. If you’re trying to get ahold of one quickly I’m betting they’re for sale at pharmacy or your local medical supply. Costco might even have some, do you have Costco? Surely you’de Have to buy a pack of 3( at least). Buying in bulk is a tricky proposition. When to buy and when to not buy that is the question. I did have one my husband bought at our local drugstore 5or 6 yrs ago. for under 20 bucks but dog picked it up and decided it was his, bit it in half and put it in his toy box so my good girl could dig it out later and deliver it back to me. It’s a real circus here at my place.
