Just goes to show how something as delicate as a rose can weather the harshness of snow. A beautiful photograph, thank you x

Beautiful Rose Lillian, my wedding flowers were pink roses. Is this a Christmas Rose? As roses don't normally bloom till june time. But then again Chritmas roses are not that big. This weather seems to be playing havoc with ther garden as well as us :) :) x

That's your secret :) don't have a greenhouse now but still have Roses in my front garden and one in a pot in my porch. Can't do much gardening now but still put a few annuals out in tubs, ready grown from the nurseries delivered to the door. Still have a green garden better than concrete stones :) x

WOW! I want to live where you live, and where roses bloom early in the year. What a fabulous photograph, the snowflakes and the rose both look so delicate - definitely a winner.

I picked the last rose at Christmas but it was a poor wee thing - yours is fabulous and the photography is superb. Many thanks Lillian for giving us a little foretaste of Summer, very cheering.
