I have bronchx diagnosed 2 years ago. Since then I have not had any coughs but at the moment I have a cold, post nasal drip , ache in top of my back and a bit short of breath. Can you have a chest infection without having a cough I have no idea what the symptons are.

We're all different so I couldn't say but I really think you must see your GP to get the lungs listened too. Takes them 2 minutes. We can't ignore an infection. In the mean time drink plenty of fluids, take your medication and get up all the bronch mucus. Good luck. P
I never have a cough or bring up much phlegm but can still have a bad chest infection so yes you can in my experience have an infection but no cough - as said we are all different so no hard and fast rules go with your instincts and if in doubt err on the side of caution. take care xx
