Good idea to go to see your GP Steve just to be checked again. The Brompton need to keep an eye on things too.

Good luck xxxxx

Most of us cough up blood at some stage during our lives, often as a result of minor blood vessel damage or infection as the Brompton have indicated.I think perhaps in future you could possibly describe your symptoms as effectively as showing us a picture.Maybe you need to see your Gp for reassurance that all is well...........regards skis and scruffy cat.

I have the same issue from time to time. In my case it turned out to be post nasal drip from bloody noses, even though you don't always know your nose is bloody. Now I can always tell because after I cough up a little blood I blow my nose and there's always a little blood in the tissue.

Hi

I’ve had so many test to be told not lungs just upper respiratory and asthma. I never cough and not produce something. Often yellow, green occasionally orange and rarely blood.

Always assumed that any blood was just a broken blood vessel.

It is so very frustrating isn’t it.

I always have low grade infection, normally mixed with H Influenza which seems to like where it is as just will not go.

I am so very tired all the time. It look fine.

I’ve found that this site is excellent and the knowledge and mpathy the members have is unparalleled.

Never be afraid to g9 back, that they have taught me!

We all have similarities and many differences. For thirty years l thought l was the only one and seems for 100% mate to anyone else l am but l have found many ho have similar traits.

If in doubt, see GP

I.was worried about cancer or pulmonary fibrosis or copd but they said a high resolution ct scan normal bronhoscopy and normal pft rules out this conditiona

in reply toStevennn2003

Good news then..some suggestions if I may: how about seeing an ENT for your larynx and a gastroenterologist for an endoscopy..talking from personal experience..

Take care x

I have had the same thing. Small hard phlegm that is white or cream and jelly like and sometimes with blood and coughing up straight blood. I am a 36 year old smoker tho.....it could be bronchitis or stomach related

I have the same issue. I have had multiple scopes, echocardiogram, lung biopsy’s, ct scans, antibiotics, steroids, tested for all types of things and everything comes back normal. About 2018 I had multiple cavitory lesions and nodules in both lungs. Dr’s have noted significant improvement but no idea what caused the lesions. I’m still periodically coughing up bloody mucus. No bloody noses... no persistent coughs, non-smokers.... I saw somewhere in this thread they suggested to see and ENT... I’m going to call and schedule tomorrow. Good luck.

I’m exactly the same constantly coughing up blood , it becomes very frustrating when you can’t clear it and you end up with a chest infection through it . I’ve had every test and now it’s just the normal but I end up going to the doctors if I have any concerns , which ends up with me taking antibiotics and steroids for 7 days . As I’ll see any doctor when this happens it becomes quite funny when they think you have something more sinister .

Any worries just book in Your doctors

i had same issues with you from 2019-2020 and im still 27 yrs old. can you explain, on what time your symptoms triggered? are you clearing with heavy cough or just small effort like clearing throat? my symptoms (blood phlegm) usually occurs on morning after wake up, after eating (because after eating, my throat looks like producing phlegm so much), and after deep breathing when on cold weather/air conditioner

in this 4 years, how much blood in your phlegm on 24 hours? have you ever had blood phlegm more than 3 tablespoons/day?

Hi I don't know if this will help but here goes. I recently had a lu g biopsy and was told I would have mucus tinged with blood for a day or so. It was scary as I had more than just a tinge coupled with very slight temp 38.1. I went to a&e and was told it was an infection and given doxycycline which cleared it up. I would definitely see your GP
