Flare up?

I have mild copd but the last few days I have felt really bad having bad headaches and pain in the lungs when I cough. Small amount of yellowish phelm. maybe its a bad cold I dont know but can not get to the doctors until tomorrow. Is it alright to take paracetamol?

Hi zen800

You need to your doctor as soon as possible insist on an emergency appointment. Have you been given a standby pack of Antibiotics & Steroids if you have start taking immediately you may have an infection or another problem which needs treatment

Any time you experience a change in the colour or volume of your phlegm and/or pain when coughing contact you GP immediately.

Paracetamol may help but you may need a stronger analgesic.

Start taking them if your lungs hurt I can tell you right off hand that you have an infection and if you don't jump on it now it can turn to pneumonia quick you should get an xray asap that's my experience every time I usually have pneumonia and my lungs and my lower back killing me that's how I know I'm getting sick cuz I usually get pneumonia at least 6 times a year good luck I hope it's not that bad

Yes I got to the doctors and was diagnosed with Pneumonia. I had the pneumonia shot over a year ago! Feeling bad and worried how this will further damage my lungs.
