Hi

They appear to only targeting one clinic, and not the more well known and established clinic which also make similar claims using similar treatment.

It is a start, at the least it will be a warning to the others, offering unapproved treatments.

Good start. From the article:

Stem cell clinics that mislead vulnerable patients into believing they are being given safe, effective treatments that are in full compliance with the law are dangerously exploiting consumers and putting their health at risk,” said FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb, M.D. “As the FDA takes new steps to advance an efficient, modern approach to the regulation of cell based regenerative medicine, at the same time we will be stepping up our enforcement actions against clinics that abuse the trust of patients and, more important, endanger their health with unsanitary conditions or by purporting to have treatments which may not provide any benefit.”

well at last someone with bottle.

it genuinely grives me that vulnerable people are taken in by these clinics.

3 years ago i guess i was just as desperate and vulnerable as the people that had already paid these clinics. luckily for me i was seeing doctors that where up to date with the advances in medical science for lungs and advice me to to stay well clear of stem cell research/ treatments.

as and when stem cell treatment ever comes a real possibility for helping lungs...my doctors will tell me..and explain to me why and how it will help.

xxx UB40/41. 😐

I took the time to check out their medical staff's qualifications - not one is qualified in respiratory/pulmonary health. I did it after reading this from someone :

"The Lung Institute is a very poor representative of the stem cell therapy industry. Check out their doctors. Are they pulmonologists? The fact that they offer a single flawed article to support their claims is indicative of the lack of understanding they have about the subject. The article referencing lung entrapment says in its second paragraph that this entrapment is transitory, lasting only 15 minutes. More than that is the fact that they “bate & switch” by offering a far cheaper PRP treatment to patients seeking stem cell treatment. Platelet Rich Plasma has very few stem cells and is not effective for the treatment of disease. Lastly, they give their patients Neupogen at the time of treatment saying that it is a synthetic growth factor. Neupogen is a drug given to patients undergoing chemo or radiation therapy to bolster the immune system. Giving this drug to stem cell patients is contrary to Neupogen’s labeling and shows an overall lack of understanding of the process they are doing and a mis-representation to the patient. Shame on them."
