As someone who has been diagnosed with emphysema for over 10 years I would have to say no, because I have never had a sinus infection. However, we are all so different and that does not mean that your emphysema and sinus infections are not linked. Sorry, not very helpful.

I had many sinus infections they were never connected to emphasemia.

I have asthma and mild COPD and have never had any problems with my sinus's either. x

I HAD A FULL PFT BACK ON APRIL 4TH 2015 AND A FEW BASIC SPIRMOTRYS SINCE THEN BUT NOT A 2ND FULL PFT SINCE

Every time for me Dennis, my chest infections either start or finish with sinus problems ,

Yes Sinus problems is commonly in association with COPD - sometimes a side effect of inhalers/steroids, other times are linked expressly. But some people are fortunate that they don't have sinus issues with theirs.

I pointed out in another post that horses get emphysema ('heaves') from mould in their food & stables. And often theirs is accompanied by a yellow mucus discharge from their noses, too.
