Your numbers are good and oxygen is usually only prescribed when your sats drop to below 88. Have a word with your doctor for reassurance.

Yes it can Dennis especially if you are still smoking. But 90 is fine so don't worry please.

Can you use lower case please as capitals is equivalent to shouting online. It also makes the eyes hurt.

There are a couple of anxiety sites on HU, have you joined them? x

sorry about the caps ..... i was just curious because i will be laying down watching tv and almost falling asleep and ill put the pulse ox on my finger and it will be between 90% and 94% but then i cough or take a deep breathe or 2 and it goes back up to between 95% to 98% .... might go lower when im a sleep but not sure

When relaxed and/or sleeping breathing becomes shallower which may account for lower levels. As long as it stays above 90 you do not need to be concerned.

Oxygen Gould be taken when sitting in upright position fully awake and breathing normally. U less you are ill then laying flat is best, regarding shouting don't worry I'm deaf Lol

88 is considered an acceptable level for people with COPD. Try to stop worrying, yours is fine.

Yes, specially if you're in a hunched position and not taking deep enough breaths as one often does when sitting and very relaxed. When you're sleeping, breathing is shallower anyway. So a person without COPD would probably find their SATs are lower.

Why are you monitoring your SATs though? As you say, your emphysema is mild. It sounds to me like you might be focusing on your lung function because you're anxious. Your diagnosis is mild with those readings: life has to go on.
