Does anyone else think 'die-a-frag-um' when they need to write 'diaphragm'?

Just came to mind haha

Yes! I do 'Wed-nez-day' haha

At risk of sounding bigheaded, I am actually exceptionally good at spelling, and my friends just assume that I just know how to spell things..but there are still those words!

That's a bit too deep-south for me. I'd never manage the drawl :) Maybe a cigar in mouth might help :)

How's this for a weird one! Town in East Dunbartonshire, about 6 miles from Glasgow is called Milngavie.

We Scots do not pronounce it as its spelt but as Mulguy!

Isn't language strange at times? 🌻

Someone my sister knew spelled her name as 'L-a'. Apparently it was supposed to be pronounced 'Luh-dash-ah'… :o

Yes there are a lot of Scottish & Irish names that I know which are pronounced entirely different than they look!

Take care 🌻

strange how words can be defined, i read on the computer about a JOSE ledemas, pronouncing it J-osie,

i was then told the " J" was pronounced as "H"

I was then asked when i was going on holiday, i just said ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,oh Hune or Huly :D

love jimmy xxx :D
