Sarcoidosis

Can anyone help. I was diagnosed about 2 years with sarcoidosis and have been on steroids ever since then; I am finally down to 3mgs, last chest xray was clear and lung function test was fine. My consultant said it burns out and then thats it. So Iam to believe I am now rid of this horrible auto immune disease?!! Suzie x

Yes if you are lucky that will be it. However, it can lay dormant for years and come back later on. Stay happy and healthy and best wishesxxx

Mine is currently 'burnt out' too. But I am still on steroid sparing drugs. Mine burnt out as soon as I was prescribed high dose steroids for a terrible chest infection.
