Always describe your worst days, never your not so bad ones. Consider joining this group; benefitsandwork.co.uk . They've got a lot of good advice and examples of how to fill things in.

Yes definitely use the worst day and answer each question fully - even if if feels as if you are repeating yourself and you will be. But they look at each questions individually so even if the same problems occur eg you find it difficult to cook because of the heat in the kitchen - then you may have to repeat that in the next question. Good luck xxx

Hi

There are welfare benefits advisers on the BLF Helpline - 03000 030 555 - they can talk through the criteria for attendance allowance - give some guidance - but they can't help with form completion. They can point you in the right direction of organisations in your local area who can help.

All i know everything is changing with introduction of cares act

A still waiting for socal service to do assesment on mine & my dads care needs even tho we had prevasly.

7 weeks i have been waiting for them to phone me back.

Truly is a disgrace MY advice would be to make sure your share of budget is not spent on kids in care

Hi DLA (or PIP now) is for people under state retirement age. However if you are getting this before you retire it will still continue to be DLA. Attendance Allowance is for people making a fresh claim over state retirement age. They are basically the same but just called different names. The main differences is AA has only a middle or higher rate and the mobility aspect doesn't apply. x
