Let's face it.
It does but is no bad thing if you can't get out and about. I am borrowing my daughter's Kindle at the moment and find it quite good. Fed up with constantly having to charge the thing though - don't have to plug in a book to read it. xxx
Hi Sassy - doesn't sound right that you have to charge it "constantly" - I read mine every single night and it lasts for days. (Just saying). I love mine because it's light weight so I can hold it up easily. When I finish a book I can browse quickly, and read a sample for free within seconds. If I like it I can buy it straight away - if not, delete it and try something else. Sorry I'm sounding like an advert. I was slow to convert from paper - but now I am absolutely hooked. I took 6 books on holiday on my Kindle - imagine the weight in my luggage! Online reading may lack the human touch but it's deliciously easy! ha ha ha Enjoy! xxxx
Not sure if it's turned off 'completely' - there's a button on the bottom, the light goes off and I get a picture of pens or pencils or whatever they've got going on today. Just wonder why you're having to charge it so much hmmm. Anyway enjoy. Wonder if father christmas could be persuaded to bring you one of your own? ha ha ha
You definitely have to turn the kindle off at the bottom, although it should turn off automatically. When I don't use the light the kindle will last a week or more.
