The bulbs i put in last year [about october ] i just stuck the brush pole in the ground and dropped a few bulbs in, i never thought they would flower as it was such a hashy job.. but they did

You put me to shame, Jimmy ....look at the edges to that lawn...and those baskets , beautiful. I have been trying to lop some overhanging branches on my ornamental cherry tree today and gave up.

Dall does far better than me, he really is an inspiration, what he does is anything but easy, but he does it in a great light hearted way.

That is a delight to behold Jimmy; give yourself a pat on the back because I thought the garden would have to go whistle this year with all the problems you had. Talk about "We shall overcome" laddie - you certainly have! So much rain here Lake District one end of garden and loch Lomond the other, sunny for five minutes then another drenching, nowhere left for it to drain. Ah well, next year maybe?

Mine is still a work in progress. Many years of bad summers, broken bones - mine, strained ligaments - husbands. Plus side, the foxgloves are beautiful. Host of whites and purples. Sow thistles and ragweed. It's a naturalist's dream. Foxes, squirrels and once, a newt.
What a beautiful garden... Must take hours of looking after 😃
