Funny you should post this as I watched Heir Hunters, this morning and the deceased was one of these. They spoke to a survivor and it was upsetting to hear what he told had happened.
I also watched Heir Hunters this morning and saw the two lads who were finding out about their grandfather. He was part of the terrible goings on at Porton Down. It was so awful and very sad. Not something to be proud of that's for sure. xx
Some of the remarks made by poster's on this article are exactly what we all suspect like the seemingly epidemically, huge rise in dementia ect... People are getting it younger and younger, but, they claim it's due to people living longer. rubbish!!!
Cancers galore, I have never known so many people with it. Population rise my backside.
lung problems in people that haven't smoked. The increase in little kids living in smoke free homes, who are suddenly suffering breathing problems and needing Ventolin, when you know it's not asthma because it only seems to happen to them once in a blue moon. This includes my own grandson and 3 nephews. Yet when I was kid in the 70's, I only knew one kid with proper Asthma.
Allergies, everyone and his dog is on antihistamines. Strange skin complaints.
Virus's, the feeble excuse we're given which really translates into "We haven't got a clue what you've got."
The list is endless and they're all things we rarely heard of 35/40 years ago.
We know something is causing it all. Chemicals on our foods seem the most obvious culprit but, after reading the comments in the Daily Mail, who knows.
Really scary. And I know what you mean about asthma - when I was at school in the '60's think there were only 2 children in the whole school who had it, cos they weren't allowed to do PE. (We thought they were the lucky ones!) When I took my daughter's inhaler to school, in the '90's (only my youngest, of 4, has it) the teacher gave me a huge basket full of named inhalers to add it to. Half the class had got it! I was astonished.
Reading the above posts really opens your eyes about the rise in all kinds of illness. People living longer and medical/surgical science advancing all the time has no bearing on the root causes. I had a story from my sister yesterday that made me really uptight. Maybe lots of you won't agree with my reaction
She has a friend whose elderly cat has terminal cancer and she is paying a vet to give it chemotherapy. How the hell do they know what side effects this poor little cat has to endure? This is only prolonging the suffering to a cat whose long life span is ending naturally and giving the vet a good financial interest. I feel the owner and the vet should be kind enough to just help it go in peace. How angry I am feeling. Polly
