I have been using oramorth for several months no side affects and it helps with my breathing.
You normally start on a low dose four times a day.
I take 2.5 ml twice a day I don't feel the need to take more.
Discus the options with your respitory nurse.
Don't take more than recommended.
Good afternoon cookie kid, Oramorph will work, you only have a small dose, try taking it about 10 to 20 minutes before doing any exertion,ie going to bed etc, It helps you to relax and takes the stress out of the struggle to move about. The dose is usually 2.5 ml four times a day,do check with you doctor or oxygen nurse if you are unsure.take care, regards, Bulpit
Hello Cookieskid, hope the hospital are looking after hubby ok.I ,ve been using Oramorph for a few months now and find it helps me relax which in turn calms my breathing making it easier.I take 2mls every 3/4 hours depending on how long my day is going to be.If I have an early doctor/hospital appointment I have to get up in the middle of the night in order to have all my meds and prepare myself. It,s important to stick to low doses as higher doses have a restrictive affect on the breathing.I also find sleeping is a lot easier now even though I,m still on the pesky steroids.I wish you and hubby the best of luck, let us know how he is and do give him my regards.D.
