As children we had a German shepherd and he was amazing but ive never had any interaction with really bog dog and your right there is just something special about them.
They seem to have a human way about them that's hard to describe if you've never spent time with one. My sister St Bernard weighs about 16 stone and she likes to sit on my knee but she does it ever so carefully. She is fab x

that's so funny. Barny would carefully position himself with his front and back legs on either side of my lap and then slowly lower his weight on to me.

What a wonderful big dog. How you must miss him. Pets really are a huge part of our lives and touch our hearts. We will be devastated when our cat Tess passes on (17 this year) but it is inevitable. Your photo is really heartwarming and thanks for posting. xxx

Barny is so very big and handsome - what a gorgeous dog. It must have been so hard to lose him but I'm certain you'll have many happy memories to treasure.
