Jimmy, Hope it will be okay if it is a tame one. Unfortunately I am going down to London tomorrow so won't be able to keep an eye on things. Do you think it will fend for itself? Juney

hi juney, whether the bird be wild or tame, i should think it would be able to fend for itself,

as it had a feed at your bird table or in your garden, there's a strong possibility of you seeing it again, maybe you can let us know if you do , i hope you do as they are lovely birds :)

kind regards jimmy xxx

Beautiful and so majestic, I have two grey ring necks come to my bird table morning and teatime, they also bred on a very flimsy nest last year, they must have found a more secure place this year as the nest resting on an ariel strut was not used this year, thank goodness I was so worried it would fall,or blow away with chicks in.

yes redted they are nice, i have them here in scotland, but they disappear for the winter,,,its a wonder they survive at the flimsy twiggy nest they make, even the bigger woodpigeons build a flimsy nest as well.

after mating they lay in about 8-10 days, and lay only two eggs, so i take it, as nature would have it, that if anything happens to their first nest, they will shift and soon make another :) thanks redted,,best regards , jimmy

Bless you jimmy, we are not doing too badly here but the weather is getting colder on the South Coast too. Wishing you well. xxxx

WoW they are such elegant birds - the colour round the eye makes them look so big. Beautiful :)
