Just had a white dove/pigeon on my bird table! Never seen a totally white pigeon or dove before and wondered if, like the white feather, it has any significance? Or if, indeed, it IS a dove or pigeon!!! Should be more up to scratch with my wildlife! Any answers will be appreciated.

hi juney, a white dove is supposed to be a sign of peace,
a dove and a pigeon are the same, they are beautiful to see, i kept them years ago,, and will post a picture for you.
the white dove in your garden could possibly be a wild one, but more likely to be an escapee tame one, but whatever it was,, it would be a lovely site
putting the pic, on now,,if i can lol ,, jimmy xxx
Hello Jimmy,
Thanks so much for your reply. It was indeed the most beautiful creature! It came fleetingly on Friday but stayed for a while this morning, probably got itself full before moving on! Your picture hasn't come through but you do obviously know what you are on about. It was a perfect white all over! I do get loads of birds on my front and I spend many an hour just watching them! In fact, a red squirrel has just been on the bird contraception but shot off when I got the camera out! They all give me so much pleasure and take my mind off all the other copd stuff and the rest! Lovely to hear from you and thanks again. Juney
Hi Jimmy,
Just found your picture of the doves. Absolutely identical to the one in my garden! Fancy looking after such lovely creatures, you were very lucky! I imagine they got the best care ever! Thanks again Jimmy, such a beautiful photo! Juney
hi juney, you obviously have seen the photo now, yes they are beautiful. as i said in the photo post, you may well see it again, i certainly hope so.
im like you, i love all nature things, and like watching birds and animals in the wild, sorry you missed a photo of the red squirrel, im afraid i'm like you in that department too lol im just a bit to slow, but i did promise "eyes" i would take my camera, next time i'm able to get out, i live fairly in the country, so i hope to "give it a bash sometime" and try get some photos, they wont be near the quality of "eyes" but who knows, i might just get a snap as you say, it does take your mind off any ailments we might have, thanks to you juney, take care now,,,jimmy xxx
