Hi ronpeterson defo agree about excersise yup but as regenerating lung tissue threw your own bodies means healing is a don't believe possible

When your lungs try regenerating lung material it's called sucher material and it no good as it don't work

But defo agree about excersise as we can use find reserves of lung that was not used effectively threw our bad breathing

Dear Ron

I am a regular swimmer but I don't use the snorkel, nose clip or ear plugs. I would worry about you taking an Internet article too seriously. When I was first ill I would go swimming and do water aerobics without any aids. Every 15 minutes or so I would come out of the pool to top up my oxygen from a cylinder I left on the side.

Now that my Interstitial Lung Disease is worse and I also have Pulmonary Hypertension I still swim although I am on oxygen 24/7. The method I use is keeping my oxygen cylinder on the side and swimming with a long tube and cannular. I don't know whether you can regenerate the lungs but my Consultant has said that you can increase lung volume by exercising.

Good luck with the swimming.

Kind Regards

Mandy

ronpeterson, I have proof that exercises will do wonders. For me, I wait with apprehension teh change in weather. I already take cod liver oil with Vit D, and Vit C with zinc. They say that zinc reinforces the immune system. I sincerely hope it's true.

Well done!
