Liquid Oxygen

Afternoon.

Does anyone not get on with the liquid, I thought it would be easier but it's not and I find it's heavy I would rather be pulling the trolley. I started PR again this week and I'm really struggling, so I carried it round which I found easier.

Hi

Who is your supplier,

Flask very in weight from 2.3kg to 3kg

airproducts.co.uk/microsite...

Would cylinders not suit you better?

I'm with Dolby, I used to be on the ones you pull on a trolley but I thought the liquid would give me more freedom but I find them a pain, and having curvature of the spine doesn't help even though I've padded it with sponge it hurts.

Hi the only thing I would suggest is to look at a Rollater , which you can use to carry your flask and use as seat to rest.

I use a rollator to carry my Helios Marathon, I find it easier and I can walk further with it than without, like with a supermarket trolley. As the oxygen cylinder is supposed to have ventilation at the sides I swapped the bag for a mesh one which you can buy at a mobility shop. As you are doing PH. I would enquire there about one, as the nurse there got in touch with occupational therapy and mine is on loan from them. Keep smiling

Airliquide supply me with liquid oxygen and the first flask they gave me was quite large and heavy . Now I have the Helios plus which is only about 9 inches high (excluding the handle), lasts 10 hours and can be worn round the waist leaving hands free or as a shoulder bag. I wouldn`t go back to the gas? cylinders I used to have to drag round in my shopping trolley. Best wishes to all members, Sheila x
