Why does my oxygen/blood level rise when I become very breathless during exercise. Is my CO2 level rising at the same time?

I would look "breathing" on wikipedia where the role of O2 and CO2 are explained..

this interesting little bit, I picked up from Yahoo answers: If ventilation does not increase sufficiently during exercise, the oxygen level will fall in the blood and tissues, and the carbon dioxide level will rise. Such an increase in carbon dioxide would increase blood and tissue acidity.

the balance is very fine. for someone like me with bronchiectasis, my lungs are damaged and the exchange of O2 and CO2 is more difficult.

Yet, I've noticed that with exercise, I can breathe better, more freely. Now that I had pneumonia, I have to have nebuulisation to open up my lungs and saline to make the mucus more fluid, less stagnant. I also used a newly acquired Flutter Mucus removing device to remove excess mucus which otherwise would stagnate and attract bacteria. an interesting subject for us, Thank you for asking.
