I have been taking raprazole for approx. 20 yrs for hatius hernia and inflamed food track my doctor has told me this is no longer avalelable

I have tried lanoprozle and omerprozole but they are not helping could anybody suggest something else or where I can get rapraprozole over the counter.

Before I had mine operated on,I tried many things,the only one that gave good relief was nexium,maybe worth a try for you?

hi wendells ,wat sort of op on ur hitus did u have,i go hope nx week for tubes up the nose for 24 hrs see why hitus playing up,take care

Hi sachmo

I take 30 mg of lansoprazole this was not being effective after four years so hospital put me on domperidone, as well this helps but a side effect is constipation! I also take a dose of gaviscon each night!! And " fingers crossed" I have relief from reflux.

hi ruby the domredone I think is to stop the sikness my gp said,plus I take 2spoons of gaviscon after every meal ,lansoprozle did nothing for me either ,only on it 3week and went bak got raprezole,and domeprone,

hi sachmo.i take raprozole for my hitus hernia,was on omerozole for 9yr till it stopped working,then put on laprezole wich did nothing,the new gp put me on raprezole an domepriene ,why as ur gp said its not in use any more ,I go hope hoz nx week for tubes up the nose with a camera on the end,have to come home and go bak nx day to have it out,see why its playing up,have u had this done ,if yes how was it,take care

I don't know if it's called the same thing in Britan, but my gastroenterologist prescribed dexalent . It is a 24 hr. Time release capsule. It works very well for acid reflux, but also comes with the side effects of all pips, one of which is increased risk of bone fracture, and osteoporosis. Prilosec and nexium also have This as a side effect. I took Prilosec for years, and now I have osteoporosi. I broke my hip 5. Yrs. ago, and believe this drug contributed to it. But,I guess we have to pick our poison. It's very painful having acid reflux, and dangerous .
