My dosage is 2.5ml (small teaspoon) 3 times a day. Every 2 hours seems a lot to me. I would go back and check with your GP.

To be honest i dont think it does help and I am a little reluctant about using such a drug when I have no pain.

Hi, perhaps Google 'Oramorph for breathing problems'? Or ask your pharmacist.

There's a chap here who does take it, I expect he will turn up soon (although he may be suffering in the heat). Every two hours does seem excessive if you aren't in pain. P

Oromorph is fantastic for relieving the feeling of breathlessness and i do take it for that purpose.

You dont day what dose you take every two hours, but i agree with the others it seems like a large dose to be taking even at 1mil per 2 hours.

Oramorph is also a respitatory suppressant, so do take care, at the wrong dose it could make breathing harder for you.

I would recommend you seek professional guidance.

Good luck

My mum uses oromorph to ease her breathlessness. She has 1.25ml and finds it really helps. When she was really ill a couple of weeks ago, I asked GP and she said it was ok to have it every two hours. I would double check though, as we really thought her time was up.
