I'm starting Trimbow today. Is anyone else on Trimbow ? How do people find it ? I'm used to Symbicort.

Hi I have used Trimbow for the last 2 years. I was previously on Fostair. I like Trimbow and very rarely need my reliever. Hopefully it will suit you too.

Thank you. Do you get any heart palpitations ?

I haven't had them myself. Unfortunately I believe it doesn't suit everyone. Hope you get on OK as it has really helped me.

I’m on Trimbow, been on the lower dose inhaler for 18 months & my chest been okish, asthma nurse changed me to the higher dose 3 weeks ago as I’ve had a few chest infections & needed steroids over the last few months… my chest feels tight everyday on this one so going back to the lower one & ringing her today. It’s just not suiting me. Hope it works for you as I know it suits a lot of people.

I hope the lower dose helps the chest tightness.

Would you let me know how you get on. I haven't got a review for a while and this may be helpful. I'm not keen on change. Thank you

I was on Symbicort for years and years. It's quite disconcerting switching to a new medication. When I first took Trimbow I was very aware of my heart beating. My GP said that bronchodilators can cause the heart to race a bit. I had the same thing with Ventolin earlier this year. I am less aware now of my heart racing or beating heavily. Perhaps I have just got used to the experience. But my peak flows seem to be improving.

Hi Spikedog66 I feel the same about being switched to Trimbow I hate change too. I am on Day 4 of Trimbow and I am missing my 3 separate puffers. My chest feels tight even after my 2 puffs of Trimbow. Normally I start my day with 2 puffs on ventolin then bring up some mucous. Next my second puffer which is a powder one called Eklira 322 microns and then more chest clearing. Last puffer Fostair 200 and then more chest clearing. As I have this horrible nasal drip I need to clear my chest more. I have Bronchiectasis . Not feeling Trimbow is doing the trick? Somebody on here thinks Trimbows content not as strong as thevFostair 200?

Very tempted tomorrow to get my 3 old puffers out again?

Best wishes to you

Mona

I totally in a dilemma. I keep thinking give it shot but really could I be worse??? I normally give new medication a week or 2 but does this inhaler take longer to work?I'm still on the fence. If you not grand after a few days makes me not want to try trimbow.

Hi there PaulRosedene Today has been my 1st day on Trimbow! I was on ventolin, a powder inhaler similar to Ventolin and Fostair 200. I have got Bronchiectasis so my specialist did say one dose of ventolin for lung clearance in morning and teatime before my chest exercise. I have been out walking today and did not need my ventolin. It’s early days and I am on a 7 day trial. I hope you are finding it helpful still as your post initially was 14 days ago. Best wishes Mona x

I feel Trimbow is a stronger medication that Symbicort. I believe it has an additional bronchodilator. I am getting used to it.
