hi everyone

I was doing very well on my new inhaler, high steroid Trimbow. But I’m now back sliding and wondering if this could be due to the hot weather. I think I might be affected by the heat, humidity, or pollen count. I’m allergic to pollens and moulds.

Has anyone else noticed asthma changes during the heatwave?

Try antihistamines this should help with high pollen count, and drink lots of water. Bernardine

I’ve just downloaded the Kleenex pollen app. It looks very good.

I have the same issue, woke up to a lovely fresh morning, then suddenly the sun is out and our house is feeling hot and stuffy.

Now, I am breathless just walking up the stairs and peak flow has dived sharply.

So the solution, apart from a dose of the faithful fostair 100 mart, already done anti histamines. The problem is, what is the trigger, pollen, heat or humidity. They all require different approaches.

If it is pollen, I need to shut myself away with my air purifier, if it is heat or humidity I need to get myself outside and in the shade of a tree where there is a breeze.

The tree worked yesterday, so I will try the same again as I think the issue is humidity.

Same here. The warm dry weather we've had over the past month has left me feeling amazingly well, but it started to get sticky and humid on Friday and straight away I started to feel grim - humidity is one of my biggest triggers. Pollen count is very high here too, and although it's not a major trigger for me, it still has an effect.

You could try one of those dehumidifier/air purifier combis. We have one and I wouldn't be without it.
