Fed up, with hospital doctors changing medication

If I take much more medication I will start to rattle [Tablets etc.]And give off smoke like a dragon [Inhalers] The Hospital Doctors changed my medication from Amlodopine to Diltiazem. I was perfectly OK before they changed my medication but thay changed it because Diltiazem is cheeper. I have also noticed that Diltiazem should not be given if the patient has Kidney or Liver problems which I do suffer from, I am now waiting for my GP surgery for a triage call. They are brilliant at my surgery and I am sure they will not be happy with this Doctor. It will not be the first time that they have contacted my local hospital and complained. Not just me but other patients have told me that they have done the same for them.

I look forward to any comments

Hi Wheesy, this might be better on a forum about high blood pressure as it doesn't seem especially relevant here, nor is anyone likely to be able to help very much.

Without Offence I apprecate and value your opinion It has been posted on British heart foundation.

It may appear to you that is not an asthma problem but as the lungs and the heart are related and I do have 4 severe lung an problems and 2 heart problems if one is out of sinc then [which in my case it] is the medication has caused not one blue light trip but 2 then I would like to see if anyone has had the same problem

But that isn't actually in your post - the version I read and responded to is all about an entirely legitimate annoyance with some of your medication being changed, but you haven't said what you want to know in relation to asthma, or even said what the medication is for! (I knew it wasn't asthma medication but had to check what it was for). The original doesn't even mention asthma beyond you taking inhalers. That is why I said it doesn't seem relevant to this forum, as it appears to be all about your (undoubtedly frustrating) blood pressure medication problems as it stands.

You could argue all parts of the body are connected and they are, but practically speaking, you're not likely to get very far on here with this question unless you make it clearer how your question relates to asthma, beyond the fact that you both have asthma and take meds for it, and take meds for high blood pressure alongside other problems.

If you're asking if blood pressure medication has caused anyone else to have a blue light trip for their asthma (and I'm still not clear if you are asking that, or if that was for something else), or if you're concerned about interactions with your asthma meds and want to ask if anyone else has had that experience, then of course ask, but you'd need to make that clear and state what you want people to help with.
