Hi all, so on Monday I went to the GP and was given a course of steroids. My oxygen was good and peak flow was ok. But my throat and chest just felt tight. I think the pollen is pretty high at the moment and I'm still struggling to stay of the cigarettes so I know that isn't helping
Also I suffer anxiety so that sets it of and I go round and round.
I focus on my breathing constantly and it's so frustrating

When I find find I am concentrating on breathing or feel over anxious I get stuck into to something that takes a lot of concentration. For me its reading, crafting or puzzles. I hope todays a better day for you .
That's a good idea as tightness can be caused by anxiety rather than asthma, particularly where throat tightness is involved as well. But even if it's a mix of asthma and anxiety, distraction would at least help with the anxiety element.
teddyd had good advice distraction often works I watch lots of boxsets on Netflix etc and find that helps as by 3rd or 4th episode am usually feeling less anxious and breathing better feel better soon Ash123445 xx
